We collect as little personal information as we need, we never sell it, and you stay in control of it.

01Who we are

This website is operated by Wendiq, based in the United Arab Emirates ("Wendiq", "we", "us"). For personal information collected through this website we are the data controller.

02What we collect

We collect only what we need:

  • Information you give us — your name, company, work email, phone, role, fleet size, the edition you are interested in and your message, when you request a demo or contact us.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you chose to receive product updates.
  • Technical information — our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not knowingly collect special categories of data (such as health or religious beliefs) through this website.

03How and why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and arrange a demonstration — on the basis of steps you ask us to take before a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
  • To send product updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the website secure and working — on the basis of our legitimate interest.
  • To meet legal obligations — for example, keeping records required by law or responding to lawful requests.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

04Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business (such as hosting and email providers), under contracts that limit their use of it, or where the law requires us to.

05International transfers

Our service providers may process information outside your country. When personal information leaves the UAE, the EU, the UK or Saudi Arabia, we use the safeguards those laws require — such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or your explicit consent where appropriate.

06How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a customer, ask us to delete them sooner, or the law requires us to keep them longer. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.

07How we protect it

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your information, or restrict how we use it.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
  • Data portability — receive your information in a commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights (for example under the CCPA/CPRA).

To use any of these rights, email info@wendiq.com. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within the time the applicable law sets — usually within 30 days.

09Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work — for example the UAE Data Office, the DIFC or ADGM Commissioner, the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), your EU supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

10Children

This website and Wendiq are for businesses. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.

11Fleet data in the Wendiq platform

Vehicle, trip and location data that fleet operators store in Wendiq is processed under the customer agreement, in which the fleet operator decides how that data is used. Where that data relates to drivers, the fleet operator is responsible for informing them and for having a lawful basis; we process it only on the operator's instructions.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed; significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
